Collaboration
/Collaboration is best done in spaces where people feel they can fully express ideas and not be limited to a time or space allotment. Herman Miller Prospect is one way to help this. Prospect is able to be a single or multi user space. You can have the idea of privacy without walls and expensive construction followed by marker boards and ideal spaces.

Mobility in the Office
/Mobility in the office is key for most offices, big and small. Everyone is trying to get the most out of their space and location. One option for this is a simple addition of NPI560 you are able to use this chair in almost every space, it folds up for easy storage and has casters to easily move from one space to another. This is a great option around a conference table in a small office to training rooms. We even have a vinyl option for a comfortable upscale lounge or coffee bar space in an office.
Caper Stack Chairs
/Daily you can always use a multipurpose chair, but do you get the most out of your chair…. The Herman Miller Caper is ideal for all users and businesses. The Caper can transform from a simple stack lunch room chair to an additional chair in an office or conference room. Capers are also easily suited for a multipurpose room as both a stacker and/or a multi function seating option, with a mesh seat addition.
The Caper was not designed for an 8 hour task chair, but in a training room we have never head a complaint. Think about your training areas, are they lecture halls. A mesh seat could be an amazing addition and folks will want to use your space.
Outdoor Fun
/So every day millions of office works look out the window and think, man it is beautiful out there… I wish I was…. Well why don’t you give them even a little hope with some outdoor seating area for lunch or a quick Mind break! Community has 5 lines of outdoor options, but POPP is our favorite at NPI. Popp comes in 5 color options, Light Grey, Blue, White, Dark Grey, and Red. Along with armed and armless.
Connect Ideal Lounging
/When you walk into your space, do you feel welcomed and able to have a quick vendor meeting, or simple chat with a client…. If not, we might need to discuss an upgrade. JSI Connect is one of those options. Connect is able to divide space with taller backs nicer for private group meetings or discussions, all the way to simple low back waiting areas. You are also able to incorporate tablet arms and power to allow for the waiting and library spaces to be user friendly. No one turns down power options, walking around an airport to a zoo you can find random phones plugged in every where. Everyone wants to be connected, so why not have a few in your space helping to make person’s day easier to navigate.
Get Up and Get Moving
/folks… are you still sitting at your desk 5 days a week 8-9 hours a day (yes some of you eat at your desk) Get up and get moving…. Height adjustable desk is the answer. And as long as we are talking about a NORMAL situation 9/10 times we are only talking about a $400 add to a station or office, can be less if you supply your own top, and can be less if you are ordering a few. That is installed! What more could your employees want??? Honestly, behind a great chair, the height adjustable desk is next in line. So let’s talk about how to get you a desk NOW!
Size- Most desks, returns, etc are between 24-30” d x 42-72” wide! Don’t worry this is perfect for our standard stocked model. And at worst, you might need a 3rd leg, which it is capable of doing.
Do you have any overheads in the way of going up, or pedestals (storage files, etc) attached to the top…. This can be an issue, but easy to solve. If you have overheads going up, can you move them one way or another and/or maybe get a book case or storage unit. And in today’s world, shred them, do you really need 15 binders from 2001? Pedestals, we will just need to make a custom top if they are surface attached. Simple answer really, and not too expensive. This just makes sure that your files are safe and not just open to any one walking by. Now if you are sitting in a wood desk, it might be best to just use your bridge as the moving part of your desk, but that leaves your desk open for meetings and other paper work and functions.

/One thing that every office is looking for is a way for everyone to feel as though they are equally important. One way to help with this is using a system like Herman Miller Canvas. /Well Mom’s day came and gone, did you get mom something AMAZING? If not, are you thinking you should have… Or wait, dad’s day is coming up next!!!! Guess what, you sit more then you sleep! In an office setting you should always have the best chair! The Aeron is just one example of a great sit. What you are looking for in a great sit is simple… Quality made seat! In an Aeron, Mirra 2, or Embody even you will find that they use a suspension material to let you breathe while sitting this is a great feature, however, many folks do sit prefer a good foam seat. However, if you are looking at foam definitely splurge (it is where you are sitting for 8 hours a day 5 days a week) and get a 5” high density seat possibly with a foam memory. Never forget that you are looking for COMFORT. Then you need to consider a seat slider or depth adjustment, this is not usually on the Cheapest chairs, but this is where you will sit for a very long portion of your life. Next you want to think about your back! You want a chair with an adjustable lumbar or at minimum an adjustable back height. Some chairs have a simple back height adjustment that will move the lumbar up and down, as our NPI540 does, others will have Adjustable lumbar, as the Mirra does or the PostureFit like the Mirra 2.

Meeting and Teaming
/Before and after meetings, Herman Miller describes the small short meetings as Warm up and Cool down. Warm Up might be practicing or bouncing an idea off a colleague before walking into a meeting. Cool down is making sure that you double check with someone when you are meeting back up or a short quick meeting before heading back to your landing or desk.
These spaces are very crucial so that people feel welcome in a space. You might be able to set down your paper work and grab a drink at a nearby coffee bar, or fill up your water bottle.
The image below shows a meeting space full of Eames Aluminum group chairs with Eames table. Then directly next door, you can see a nice warm up and cool down space, with Chadwick modular lounge. Power in the base to help keep us all charged and ready to come and go.
Storage is Flux-able
/JSI created Flux to be used all over, not just in an office space. Flux has lockers and storage units for every public space. Multiple people can use these in libraries, open office plans, and touch down spaces. That away people can still feel safe that their ‘stuff’ is locked up. Flux will also help divide space and leave visual boundaries to keep site lines clear and open.
BeSpace is Unique
/Check out this great lounge series by JSI called BeSPACE. You have some excellent metal and wood accents. You can also use the benches to help line a conference room for the larger board meetings. BeSpace has some storage units, for conferencing and for teaming spaces.
Popp of Spring
/Spring has sprung and we want to be outside… Do you have a patio at work and could use a few chairs and a comfortable space for your employees to soak up some vitamin D while on a short break? Check out Popp. JSI came out with the series Popp for that. A Pop of color and style, with great lines. This helps keep the space usable for everyone. Also, if a rain storm is coming in they are easy to stack up and move in when needed. Or if you have a large meeting and need a few more chairs, you can bring them in quickly to help out with that space also.
Sayling into the Week
/The Sayl chair was developed by Yves Behar. Check out the great lines on the back of the Sayl chair, you can chose to upholster the back, have a sock mesh applied to it, or leave the back open. The back is able to flex with your body.
Team Work
/So we work every day on teams, whether that is for a few minutes or a few hours. Projects and Problem solving is much better with Teams. We need a space for team planning and ideas to get put on paper and boards to start the problem solving. Here is a great example of some different options. When people can chose their seating options, they become more comfortable and easier to speak their minds. You also get to see some space dividing with the Magis Steelwood storage units. However, you can decide to get comfortable in the Geiger Cross hatch or the Eames high table with the Geiger stools. Where would you like to work?
Connect Up
/Check out this new option by Safco for easy to flow and change spaces. Connect, they come with different heights and connecting options so that the space can be defined by the user.

/Herman Miller has a line of options called Canvas, that is easy to take from Benching, work spaces, and Private offices. This makes it easy to flow from spaces with the same finishes and fabrics so that people feel unified and less division.
